FarmVille
FarmVille is a popular game accessible from Facebook,from developer Zynga.
You start the game with character creation where you choose your avatar from a range of hairstyles and outfits. Once you have created your character, you can start your farm. The aim of FarmVille is to gain levels through growing crops, building a top notch farm, helping out other players on their farms, looking after animals, building various different buildings like barns and homes, and maybe even learn a little something!
As you can see, FarmVille covers all aspects of farming, from animal care, to growing crops! As your level increases, you unlock new items, like more crops, vehicles, farm extension, and a lot lot more!
FarmVille is a great game for all ages, it has easy game play, is easy to understand, and you may even learn something!

Pet Society
Currently ranked the most popular Facebook application, Pet Society is a simple, yet fun little game.
The aim is to look after your pet which ever one you may pick. Throughout the game you can collect paw points to spend in game, these paw points can be used to unlock new items, buy new items for you pet, and even place a bet on whose pet will win in a hurdle race! During the game you can compete in small contests, and bet on who will win, this can be a great way to make some cash. As you progress throughout the game, you unlock the prestigious trophies, by doing things like spending a lot of points and competing in a lot of contests, you are awarded trophies!
Pet Society is a fun little game, you can meet many interesting people, and help each other out, if you are interested in animals this game is for you!

Happy Aquarium

This is a great little game, the aim is to built your own successful aquarium with various types of fish and aquatic creatures inside it. Provide your fish and creatures with a clean bountiful home with plenty of extra’s like treasure chests, castles, etc. Train your fish, by making sure they don’t get hurt by several lethal objects, such as bigger fish, fishermen, and terrifying creatures! Let your fish multiply, oh yes, you now have the option of your fish mating.. oh dear.. is there a rating on this?
Happy Aquarium is a simple and straightforward game, there is a handy tutorial at the start, so i recommend it highly!

Cafe World
If you are a budding chef, then Cafe World is the game for you.
Cafe World is a fantastic little game, it lets you interact with all your friends and the Facebook community, you can hire them as waiters and workers at your cafe. The game begins with character creation, choose which gender you wish your character to be, and then you may begin. Firstly, a pink haired lady will guide you through, until you are well accustomed with the game. As you proceed, you may hire more friends to work for you, also you can extend your cafe, add more tables, change flooring, doors, windows, etc. By adding more stoves and tables, it allows quicker progression through levels, the higher the level you are, the more items you have unlocked!
To conclude, Cafe World is a great game for anyone who wants a small, easy to play game.

YoVille
YoVille is another Facebook game brought to you by Zynga, popular for being the creators of such games as FarmVille and Mafia Wars.
YoVille allows you to hang around with your Facebook chums, by meeting them in various places along the game, but first, you must create a character. Character creation is simple, pick your gender, and customise your avatars clothing, and hairstyle, when this is done, you are met by Clara, she will guide you in your new world, until you are accustomed to your new surroundings. Firstly, you are presented with your empty apartment, you must now decorate it! As you progress through the game, you have more things to decorate your home with. Next is work, when your done with that, you can now visit your friends, and marvel at their awesome apartments! (or just go and gloat on how awesome your apartment is).
YoVille is a great way of meeting you friends virtually, to see how good you are designing apartments instead of doing it in real life and making a mess!

Mafia Wars
"I’m going to make him an offer he can’t refuse." The Godfather
Mafia Wars is brought to you by Zynga, as you may remember, they created FarmVille, and YoVille. It is an extremely popular game, not just available on Facebook, but even on an iPod app!
The aim is to recruit players into a mafia, in several cities, like New-York, Las Vegas, Moscow, and Bankok. In each city, there are several different gangs to choose from, some are famously known like the Russian Mafia and The Yakuza. Players can be awarded achievements, these are prestigious in a game like this, it shows the player has gone along way with the game, and is very good at it!
Mafia Wars is an awesome game, one of my personal favourites, it is great for people who enjoy shoot-em-up styled games, i would rate it 10/10 in my book! if you watched the Godfather, or Micky Blue Eyes and loved them, then this is a game for you!

Bejeweled Blitz
Bejeweled is a puzzle game available on Facebook from PopCap Games and two sequels to Bejeweled Blitz have been released, Bejeweled 2, and Bejeweled Twist.
The aim is to swap one gem with another gem to form a horizontal or vertical chain of three or more gems. Bonus points are given when more than three identical gems are formed or forms two lines of identical gems. Gems disappear when chains are formed and gems fall from the top to fill in gaps. This game is fantastic if you like to intellectually challenge yourself on a regular basis. Of course remember, it is timed, so watch out!

Great list! I’ve played them all at some point, but Farmville is the one I’ve stuck with. I know it comes in for some criticism from non-players but it’s fun to play, and the community aspect adds to that.
