Access All Your Information In A Dash

Sony Dash HID-C10

Utilising the Linux based Chumby OS, Sony dash Personal Internet Viewer, or the HID-C10 to give it it’s less funky name, looks like a nifty little gadget. This, as the description indicates, is a personal internet viewer in the same vein as the Toshiba JournE device. Once you have the dash up and running you can get access to over 1,500 free applications to extend it’s use to include news, weather, calendars, social networking and more. The dash not only accesses content from Chumby applications but also from Sony’s Bravia Internet video platform including YouTube, Pandora Internet Radio, Epicurious, Crackle, LiveStrong, Blip.tv and more.

The dash utilises a 7” touch screen, stereo speakers, headphone output, and USB connection and can run multiple content simultaneously to take advantage of music playing, internet radio, alarm clock functions and news feeds.

It launches in the US in April 2010 and there is no news yet as to when we might see it in the UK, but to learn more visit Sony dash Personal Internet Viewer.
