Audio: Fry’s English Delight

“There’s going to be no dreadful wordplay in my opening!” – Stephen Fry.

BBC Audio has released four episodes from Stephen’s BBC Radio 4 show “Fry’s English Delight”, set across two CD’s – and we’ve been listening to it during the late hours of blogging.

CD1 contains the episodes “Current Puns” and “Metaphor” – originally broadcast in 2007 and covers topics such as “cracker jokes” and “just a minute”, whilst CD2 has “Quotation” and “Cliché” originally broadcast in 2008 and includes topics such as “celebrity quotes” and “the parrot dodger”.

The whole shebang runs around 1 hour 40 minutes and features Stephen Fry doing what he does best – telling us how little we know about everything! Guest artists are features including Arthur Smith, Punt and Dennis,
