Get Your Google Maps Offline

Google Maps are extremely handy, however you can’t always guarantee an online connection, and next to printing them out and carrying paper around with you – what can you do? You could do a screen grab then paste them into a paint application or word file – or you could just get Google Map Saver.

Google Map Saver, currently up to version 1.0.2, is a small free (subject to fair use conditions) downloadable utility which allows you to search for a point of interest, zoom, select a map view then save the resulting image in a variety of sizes (Windows Size, QVGA, VGA, Huge) and in a variety of formats including PNG, JPG, BMP and TGA.

Google Map Saver currently runs on Windows XP, 2000, Vista, and Windows 7.
