Introducing Spinner from AOL Music

AOL Music have recently launched a new music site, Spinner, in the UK. The site aims to include free MP3s, interviews, music news, live performances, songs and videos from today’s most relevant artists and upcoming releases.

Spinner is the online destination for fans with a passion for indie, buzz bands, classic-rock legends, dance-floor DJs and other credible artists beyond the Top 40.

Stephen Dowling, Spinner UK Editor, said of the new service:

Music’s a broad church. Too often barriers are built up — someone, somewhere makes the decision that if you like British Sea Power you won’t like Toots and the Maytals, or if you’re into Blur and Oasis you’ve given up on listening to new stuff, and won’t be interested in the wealth of new bands emerging. We don’t, because that’s not how we feel about music.

Currently on the site are the Free MP3 of the Day, Band of the Week (currently Animal Kingdom), Gig Listings, and a number of Live performances in the Sessions section.
