Stargate: Resistance Online Game Launching In February 2010

For what started out as a one off typical Hollywood Blockbuster movie, the Stargate franchise, primarily driven by a number of spin-off television series, has gone from strength to strength to push past the likes of similar science fiction shows including Babylon 5, Lexx, Andromeda, Farscape and Firefly to bring it almost on even ground with the giant Star Trek franchise.

A new massively multiplayer online game has been in the works and the hotly awaited launch of the online game Stargate: Resistance, has been confirmed for February 10th 2010. Stargate: Resistance is played as third person where you choose your side, either the arrogant Goa-uld System Lords or the Stargate Command operatives, in a battle for the future of the galaxy.

Players can choose from a number of character classes including Commando’s, Scientists, Jaffa and Ashrak, and more with each class having its own unique strengths, weaknesses and weaponry arsenal.

Hot on the heels of the recent Star Trek Online universe, the future of massively multiplayer online gaming seems to be heading for a major showdown – which is all good news for us fans and game players.
