Will Guild Wars 2 Be as Good as Expected?

The release of the Guild Wars 2 trailer has many GW fans asking whether or not Guild Wars 2 will be as good as expected. The official trailer of the sequel was released by ArenaNet and fans agree it looks amazing. We can only hope that it will truly deliver what it is promising.

When it comes to Guild Wars 2, the storyline, the new exciting environments and everything looks amazing. For generations, war and chaos have plagued the lands of Tyria and give great races has competed with one another to help tip the balance of the power for their own favor.

To understand GW2, we need to understand the story line of how it comes to be. The dragons are awoken from their millennial sleep under both the earth and sea. Now they spread destruction across the land with their magical breath and they create legions of slaves. There is also a deathless dragon by the name of Zhaitan who raises the nation of Orr, previously sunken.

This act creates tidal waves and earthquakes that destroy the cities across the Sea of Sorrows. Destruction reigns over the land and someone has to do something to end it or there may be no future. This is when magic, cold steel and the technologies of the times will help determine the fate of the world.

Now the heroes of the give races need to set aside their ancient fights and rivalry and join up as allies to fight their common enemies who threaten to destroy all of their worlds forever. With such an exciting storyline like this, one can easily see how enjoyable and entrancing the game can be.

This combined with all the things we love about Guild Wars and a few more additions and upgrades and it’s easy to see why fans are so excited about GW2. However, MMORPG fans are well aware of the disappointment that can come from an anticipated game release that flops. Here’s hoping Guild Wars 2 doesn’t make this list and that it turns out to be as fantastic as we all expect!
